If you are active and staying fit, having a little more protein in your diet can go a long way. It can boost your energy and help maintain muscle mass. I’ve been finding creative ways to put a little extra protein in my meals for a long time.
One new way I’ve started adding is extra protein is in my soup. I heat up single servings of soup in a metal soup mug. Once I get my soup to a low simmer I crack open a couple of eggs and drop them in. I then let the soup simmer for another minute or two depending on how I want my eggs cooked.
I just added eggs to tomato soup. Besides extra protein for my day, it made my soup a little more interesting.
