The NHL goes on their 2024 Holiday Break after tonights games. As a hockey fan my first reaction is how am I going to cope with no hockey for three days. After a few quick thoughts about it, I decided I needed a break too.
Since 1971 the NHL has instituted a three day holiday break with no games or practices on December 24, 25, or 26. Unless December 26 falls on a Saturday. Then the three day break would be 23, 24, and 25. Besides no games or practices, the locker rooms are closed.
There are plenty of NFL and NBA games over those three days as well as college games. I will be a non participant to those. I’m going to sit back and chill while soaking in the beauty of Christmas. And I hope the NHL players, coaches, and employees do the same.
